Derek is a current franchisee with Water Babies in Scotland, having spent more than 15 years in journalism before moving to the leisure industry. He is a former Editor of the Scottish Sunday Express newspaper, and also spent time as Secretary of the Hearts Football Club Youth Development Committee in Edinburgh. In his spare time he volunteers as a children’s football coach with Stirling Albion.
