Children’s Alliance Announces Transition of Working Groups to Alliance 4 Children
Building on the significant momentum generated by a successful partnership, PH Affairs is proud to announce the launch of the Alliance 4 Children (www.alliance4children.org), a new not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, young people, and families across the nation.
This exciting development follows a highly productive collaboration between PH Affairs and the Children’s Alliance (www.childrensalliance.org.uk) since September 2023. Together, they have effectively championed critical policy recommendations, including the establishment of a dedicated Cabinet Minister and Department for Children, Young People & Families. Their joint efforts have also driven impactful initiatives related to Early Years, Physical Activity, Emotional Health, AI/Social Media & Online Safety, and Food & Nutrition, resulting in significant policy documentation, successful petitions, impactful events, and widespread media coverage.
Over the past year, the Children’s Alliance has made significant strides in advocacy, policy development, and direct action to improve the lives of children. Key achievements include:
- Policy Advancements: Successfully influenced key policy decisions, including the expansion of early childhood education programs and improved child welfare legislation.
- Community Engagement: Organized multiple forums and events to bring together policymakers, educators, and families to discuss and address pressing issues facing children today.
- Research & Reports: Published comprehensive studies on child mental health, education accessibility, and social equity, which have informed both public discourse and governmental decision-making.
- Campaigns & Awareness Initiatives: Led nationwide awareness campaigns on child poverty, mental health support, and safeguarding vulnerable children.
- Collaborations & Partnerships: Strengthened ties with key stakeholders across sectors, leading to joint initiatives that have provided tangible support and resources for children and families.
The Alliance 4 Children recognizes and deeply appreciates the foundational support provided by the Children’s Alliance, including their invaluable staff and funding contributions over the past 18 months, as well as their prior collaborations with other organizations. This strong foundation will serve as a springboard for the new organization’s future endeavours.
While the formal partnership concludes on March 1, 2025, the Children’s Alliance will continue to be a steadfast supporter of the Alliance 4 Children’s mission. Both organizations share a commitment to advancing policies that ensure children, young people, and families thrive in both body and mind.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the past year, and we believe this transition will allow for even greater impact,” said Tamsin Brewis, Director of the Children’s Alliance. “Alliance 4 Children brings a wealth of experience and dedication, and we have full confidence in their ability to carry this work forward.”
